Small business servers are recommended for any business with 5 or more users that would benefit from having a central point to store and share files, emails, calendars and allow for control of access to certain files by certain users.
We have experience in creating business networks based around Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Small Business Edition. This software provides everything you need to create and manage network users, set up email accounts, share or restrict access to files and folders and give remote access to your business emails using Outlook Web Access or via smartphones such as the iPhone.
A typical server installation can take 2 – 3 full days to install, configure and troubleshoot. We offer a fixed price service however which allows for easier budgeting.
Hardware prices and individual requirements change however below is a quote for what we would class as a typical small business server assuming 5 users maximum (additional users can be added at extra cost)

If you would like to use existing PC’s to connect to this server you will need a business version of Windows installed on them such as Windows XP Pro or Vista Business. Click here (3.2) for example office PC prices.
All PC’s will need to be connected by Cat5 network cables to a network switch and an existing ADSL broadband connection and router will be required to allow internet access to the whole network. These items can all be provided and set up at additional cost.
